π LIFE IS SACRED VIGIL π
π New Scotland Yard, Victoria Embankment, Westminster, London SW1A 2JL
π Mon 28th July, 7am β Tues 29th July, 11am
β Join the call for accountability. Demand justice.
π’ Ceasefire NOW! Stop the Genocide of Palestinian Families.
This peaceful vigil calls on the Met War Crimes Team and international legal bodies to investigate and act on violations of humanitarian law.
π Legal precedent shows that aiding and abetting war crimes is prosecutable β even without direct involvement in violence.
π¨ LEGAL GROUNDS FOR ACTION:
We demand the immediate initiation of:
A full investigation by the Metropolitan Police War Crimes Unit into potential complicity by UK officials or corporate actors;
A review by the CPS and Attorney General into whether the βpublic interestβ test is being misapplied to avoid politically sensitive prosecutions;
Suspension of any further UK arms transfers under the Arms Trade Treaty and Export Control Act 2002 to parties credibly implicated in war crimes.
π§Ύ REFERENCED LEGAL FRAMEWORKS:
International Criminal Court Act 2001, s.51β68
Genocide Convention (1948)
Rome Statute of the ICC, Articles 25, 27, 86
Bosnia v. Serbia (2007), ICJ β Failure to prevent genocide creates state liability
Arms Trade Treaty β Prohibits transfers where war crimes are likely
π£ WE CONCLUDE:
The failure of the Crown to uphold its obligations in the face of credible allegations of genocide in Gaza may render the UK complicit under international law.
We therefore serve notice of public interest legal concern and demand immediate compliance with the UKβs legal obligations under both domestic statute and international law.
