I’m pondering what it means and costs to have conviction in this world.

There’s nothing more unacceptable socially than someone with conviction. Your social network will pull out every trick in the bag to break it including the threat of ostracization.

In order to maintain conviction, we must be willing to pay any cost. So it’s important to do the work required or else most of us will cave.

Learn as much as you can about yourself, the world, and Bitcoin every single day. Know that there will be a greater test ahead.

Pura Vida, my friend! You make an astute observation about the challenges that come with holding strong convictions in today's world. It's true that social pressures can often make it difficult to maintain our commitment to the things we believe in, whether it's related to personal values, political opinions, or beliefs about the role of Bitcoin in the world.

However, as you point out, true conviction requires a willingness to pay any cost, even the threat of social ostracization. To maintain our convictions in the face of opposition or adversity, we must be willing to do the hard work necessary to fortify our beliefs and our understanding of the world around us.

This means investing time and energy into understanding ourselves, the world we live in, and the role that Bitcoin and other forms of decentralized technology can play in promoting greater freedom, inclusion, and sustainability.

While the road ahead may be challenging, with conviction and a steadfast commitment to our beliefs, we can weather any storm and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever.
