I remember, back in highschool, reading that the French Police switched from XP to Ubuntu because it was cheaper and more secure to switch to. Thought that was so wild.
I know the conversation is going beyond game emulation, but on that front the free collection is a very enticing part of it. Played plenty of games I'd probably never given the time of day if I had to pay for the ROM on a new console.
Only exception to convince a purchase from my though, might be some collection or compilation with extra goodies, but even then it would probably be just for games I was already familiar with.
