This is horrible. Can't event trust the system to keep the files you saved π
If this is Apple doing it and they can delete files, they can also take files from you, like a wallet.dat, or snitch on you having certain files.
Fuck if I knew. I tried 3 times, every single one got the app wiped out after a shutdown or restart.

Yeah, but itβs for my protection π€¦ββοΈ
The app in question is qBittorrent btw, the highest rated torrent client for Mac, allegedly.
Great app! Maybe qbittorrent folks had heard reports of this and know not how prevent it?
Gonna try this tonight

fingers crossed. Running apps in Apple Ghettosystem is hard.
I was a user of a really nice and slick DNSCrypt client called DNSCloak. At some point the guy had the app taken down because:
- Apple made changes so that changing DNS is done by setting a VPN profile
- And then demanded apps doing VPN require additional checks
It was just a one dev, so he was seeking a company that would legally front his app. There are services like that. Definitely in the medical app space there are.
Anyway, to encrypt your DNS using #DNSCrypt (Frank Denis' dnscrypt-proxy) you can't just write an app.
You need a legal entity and Apple permission.
App no longer in App Store
Fuck these people
Unfortunately I canβt make a report on that, can I?
