Honestly I wouldn’t weigh the price between HWWs at all.

I got a Coldcard Q after using Ledger, Trezor, etc.

It is the best option in my opinion.

Plenty of optional features supported and online documentation explains everything perfectly.

After getting a Coldcard Q I’ve learned a lot of things about bitcoin that I didn’t know before.

Yeah, I find you learn more with each new device & its unique features. The friend I’m helping to self-custody is looking for a lower priced device, so I’m just trying to gauge if the Trezor is worth recommending

Lowest price I would say is Tapsigner.

Setup with Nunchuk and it’s the best beginner experience.

Start your friend with a Coinkite Bitcoin only product to minimize the potential for potential shitcoining

Thought about the TapSigner, although I’m also a bit reluctant to suggest anything without a confirmation screen (I know nunchuck, kinda) just in terms of best practices. But thank you!
