I'm seeing nearly 50% as much engagement on nostr as on Twitter, but with only 1% the audience size.
Assuming the stats are roughly accurate, it means nostr users are 50X more active than Twitter users. Alternatively, it could mean that Twitter is 98% abandoned.

I'm seeing more than 50%. My 2 recent posts had 5x engagement on nostr & I've 1% followers on here than Twitter
I'm sure of the name of the phenomenon, but there is something about this being a smaller and more intimate space that encourages more engagement.
In a million years I wouldn't be able to reach #[2] on Twitter, but there's something magical about him hopping on here and giving out hugs.

A LOT more people have been permabanned on Twitter than I think anyone realizes. Twitter sucks. It’s dying like Facebook and MySpace did.

I no longer use Twitter
Might need to take into consideration the average number of accounts a user is following on each platform. Assuming it would be higher for twitter so they have more noise there, less signal.
Twitter is still censoring users. Just possibly in a different way since Mr Musk took over.
