They did everything except updating definition of innovation.
I believe everyone copies these 2 simply because they are the most secure, we have seen many projects try to innovate but their code gets exploited and they get hacked for millions. I think developers are just afraid to innovate in the crypto space at this point( on the defi level)
There are good ones, like algebra finance. But they are not famous
