There’s something which really bothers me about social media platforms downranking or blocking links out of the platform. ( fax 📠)

So much of what made #Twitter #magical was that it acted as the lead generation to so many other apps and kinds of content.

( 🎉🎊🌚🗽 this is somewhat new information for me )

Think clubhouse and only fans, but so many others. The ability to go #viral and generate an audience in apps the original platform didn’t build is the magic. It’s so powerful. ( woot hoot 🦉)

By limiting linking the platforms are trying to control the user experience to drive more advertising consumption. But in the end what this does create an adversarial relationship between the platform and users.
