Care to educate us all. The EU immediately put pressure for an immediate recount and throwing away of the results after the first round of voting. There's no time in Romanian history has there been that pressure to cancel elections.
1. The system is fucked and corrupt like on almost every country - true
2. Did every candidate to presidency use correct methods in campaigns? - no. And the main problems were not just with Georgescu, who is one of the worst people and politicians Romania has, also with the 2 main political parties, who governed together in the last years
3. The main problem with this Georgescu is how he use the peopleās fears and frustration, and promote his āsolutionsā - just empty words, in fact - using a lot of money that he didnāt declare he had or where he get it.

A democracy is not simply ignoring an election because a candidate presents the "wrong type " of ideas. This is fascism territory in disguise as somehow a more moral process.

By definition you can't have a fair Democratic election with the majority wanting an outcome and the leader performing that outcome be called fascism. Fascism is by definition closer to the EU canceling and election and threatening sanctions if you don't put the right leader in power.

This is not totally true, the process began from the EU to do this it started immediately after it was clear the wrong party was winning with accusations at tik tok. There's no real evidence here by the way the only thing they can see is that people are responding positively to the "wrong messages" at a critical time of the elections. They took this claim pushed PSD to use it and present it as evidence.

I'm not sure what the point here is. The EU had concerns, issued a information request against social media companies that had no answer for them because what the EU essentially was asking is why is person A more popular than popular B.
The EU took the non answer to Romanian oppositions to use it as some sort of evidence to they themselves interfere with results like the recount and annulment of the election.

I want to be clear, the problem here is disqualifying political opponents in general. Suppressing any political parties, persons, or perspectives is evil in my opinion it doesn't matter what the topic or view is. If people are voting those votes can't be ignored, if a antiwar movement is happening its immoral to suppress that/ignore because it will ultimately lead to everyone's misery here.

First point I want to make for Europeans: There is no circumstance where denying popular vote regardless of how the people come to a populists conclusion can be considered a democracy.
Europe has turned into " If you don't agree with the central authorities at the top we will ignore you". Right now in France there is no government and Macron refuses to leave. Georgia is undergoing an endless assault to overturn a legitimate election and the UK is on its 3 prime minister no one voted for.
