I think a lot of people did that. As for your question, I don’t think there are any truly KYC-free exchanges. Only P2P, F2F or V4V.

Yeah, that's why I threw minimized in there. There is no practical KYC free way that I can think of or reasonably perform myself. I'm just looking for ways to minimize the risk. I can for sure say that pictures of my face, state ID, social security number, and full bank details isn't it. lol
We have a bullion dealer where I live that you can exchange gold bullion, gold coins, silver, etc for Bitcoin with no KYC if under ten grand.
Interesting concept for those who can easily trade fiat for gold. I'm guessing he can do that because (assuming you mean US or US-like jurisdiction) the government considers gold a commodity rather than money.
