For many of us yeah I think so too. There are some with little enough attachment to ego that we dont see things as majority does. If I understood you correctly.

I think you did understand me correctly. Ego, plays a roll, from the point of view of how one’s persona gets defined by the attachments one incorporates since birth (including attachments to specific nation states and governance systems).
