No they didn't. Jews lived together and alongside Palestinians. In 48 all Arab countries declared war on Israel and made ethnic cleansing of their local Jewish population by expelling them. We're they haven't started that war all the people who lived there would still be where they were.

Jews created Israel after WW2. That there were some Jews living in Palestine before that is irrelevant. Jews live everywhere on Earth. There are more Jews in NYC than in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv combined. If Jews simply continued to live in Palestine as they live in NYC everything would have been fine. But Jews decided to create "A Jewish State" in the middle of Palestine. THAT was a declaration of war on all Non-Jews. The Arabs simply fought back.

Israel was created BEFORE the Arabs could attack it. Thus it was the Jews who started the war and the Arabs who reciprocated.
