Paid relays make the global feed worthwhile. Spend the sats.

Agreed!

I totally agree. 🟣🤙🏼

Maybe I’m doing it wrong. I pay for nostr.wine and applied the filter feed but still only see spam in the global. Show me the way😭

Your client is only pulling a feed from the nostr.wine and filter wine relay?

If you’re pulling from other stuff you’re going to still get junk.

I’m not familiar with that particular relay. Have you reached out to whoever is running it? They may have a guide or can help you troubleshoot

FWIW, my understanding is that the filter relay isn’t about spam blocking it’s about connecting to one relay that both reads and writes from a larger set of relays.

It does a little bit of both but there is no conventional “spam” filtering (yet).

We argument ONLY your global requests on filter.nostr.wine to be limited to your follows+their follows to prevent spam in global.

We do not augment or filter anything else at this time. The advantage of this is you can load all content from our public relay list without missing anything while still keeping a readable global feed!

Check out the readme for more details: https://filter.nostr.wine

In order to see the benefit you have remove or turn off public relays from your global feed.

Filter.nostr.wine of course CANNOT change what you get from other unrelated relays.

Consider adding this one. 😃

I’m not doxing myself to post, that’s an insane expectation.

I literally paid a lightning invoice connected to my npub. Nothing was doxxed.

Bitcoin is a public ledger, and lightning can be compromised. I’m just telling you that if someone wants to dox you, they can.

I used sats from a wallet that required no kyc info. The sats were funded by zaps, so no kyc there either.

That may be your case, but it can’t be everyone’s. That model is flawed.

You can use peer to peer exchanges to buy bitcoin non kyc as well.
