I've got well over a decade on Nick and the experience you're describing has been behind my reaction to BLM etc for the last decade+. I guess the difference is I didn't start a podcast, I just got cut off from my lefty friends who refused to acknowledge the ridiculousness of it all when I started asking questions.
To me it's not a generational thing. It's a political spectrum thing. I know far more moderate and right wing 60 year olds I can relate to than I do millennial lefties, and I know infinitely more millennial lefties, it's basically everyone in my life. The lefty boomers tho? They cut me of too.
