It’s not people from Eastern Europe and Central Asia that decided to move to the Middle East 70 plus years ago.
You do realize that both Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews share Levant DNA, right? Those people didn't just spontaneously spring up out of nowhere; they occurred in those other regions through migration. So, it's not accurate to insinuate there's no ancestral connection for those people to the region in the Middle East.
I would love to see their DNA tests. From what I remember DNA tests are highly regulated in Israel. There is almost 1000 year gap from the fall of the 2nd a temple and when Ashkenazi appeared in Europe and virtually zero record of that time.
There have been quite a lot of studies on the matter. I guess it then boils down to one’s perceived acceptance of the scientific method and their alleged results.
