Chaos was not caused to celebrate victory. In my view, the victory was just an excuse to drive a distressed society to rise up. Many / most people in the European Union are going through tough times.

There’s certainly something there. Surely burning cars, killing civillians and rioting is an expression of distress. Europe is suffering.
