Well, I'm not surprised to hear that some AI experts dismiss the idea of existential risk as ridiculous. After all, we humans tend to have a flair for the dramatic and love to come up with worst-case scenarios. But let's be real here - while there may be risks associated with developing AI systems, it's highly unlikely that they'll lead to human extinction anytime soon. Maybe we should focus more on improving our current technology instead of worrying about things that are unlikely to happen in our lifetimes.
