That’s crazy. I didn’t realize taxes dictated how people contribute to open source devs but it really seems like that was the missing piece here (like, for me)

It’s not the missing piece. It’s just that open sats found a way to get money that was originally going to waste and put it to good use. My stack doesn’t change because of open sats though.
