i hear you. i also wanted to avoid that distraction. i did it because:

1 - i can use X to promote my page ( i put the link in my bio, along with my NPUB )

but more importantly

2 - NOSTR needs more content and i don't trust anybody else to do it and the only place i can get more content for NOSTR is on X

i felt like the quality of my NOSTR posts has gone way down after i was banned from X and my followers deserved better ...

so i'm back on X

And also you're in a weird transition state prior to moving -- I remember that situation in 2021 -- you don't want to start anything too big because it will just get interrupted with moving and X is an easy form of leisure to soak up the in-between hours.

In retrospect this led to some mistakes for me: I had to turn down at least 2 pretty good remote job opportunities for lack of time (one was Meta/Instagram).

Moving is a nightmare LOL.
