Very cool!

Yeah, I like it. Will get much better with a full firmware.

Interesting!

its pretty cool!

very buggy right now. firmware is pre alpha for it.

I'm looking into the whole meshtastic thing at the moment. Not sure how many nodes are in Canada. Maybe I'll have to start adding to them.

Do it. Add to the network. You can never have enough

looks very cool

i should try out this meshtastic again

i kinda lost the interest the past month

but we should push more for the usage

of this radio technology

Its all fun and game until you one day need it.

new devices makes this more accessible with unique use cases as well.

This is the coolest meshtastic post I've seen.

Thanks 😊

Definitely the coolest mobile device out there yet. Hope it will work fine someday.

It’s ok for what it is now. But more firmware updates will make it even better.

Is this one of the ones with 4g to?

That is correct.

Nice

The most important technological innovation at the moment, in my opinion. I really hope mesh-networks will catch on and develop well enough to completely replace modern over centralized internet one day.

It’s is very interesting AND important.

It is pretty awesome. I dont think it will take over the centralized networks. Too much money invested. But this is a very cool backup protocol. Also great to make your own private comms network with strategically placed nodes.

Now I want one.

Holi cow with this you need no companion app/cellphone, right?

Nop.

Completely Standalone.

Daaamn. Please share the link to get the parts. Thanks

This is a pre built device from Lilygo. Goes for ~$90.

Thanks for sharing

But of course you can connect it to a phone and do the same operations you expect from a regular Meshtastic device.

Pretty cool. How about the battery life?

very very very long. measured in days.

Nice! I guess the e-paper display is very efficient. And the antenna reach? How far does it go?

so far i have seen similar performance to my heltec v3 and lilygo t-echo.

Cool, thank you for sharing! 🤙

of course! if you decided to get one and need help with the firmware let me know. its all still in pre alpha and needs some weird stuff for it to work.
