BOTTOM TRAWLING TO CONTINUE IN HAURAKI GOLF

Yesterday the Government announced it WILL allow destructive bottom trawling to continue in large areas of the Hauraki Gulf.

We know that bottom trawling is the worst kind of commercial fishing, bulldozing the seafloor and indiscriminately destroying ancient coral and other marine life.

So today, in protest of that decision, we rebranded the Ministry for Primary Industries as the ‘Ministry for Destructive FIshing’.
