Changed my lightning address to golbez@npub.cash because I love the nuts. I can't zap myself from my Primal wallet but I can from my node.... gonna try Alby next

Your lightning address is in the wrong field of your profile. Make sure it's in "LN Address". Currently you have your npub in your lightning address field.
so it's both. free version is your npub@npub.cash and you can pay sats to get the vanity username@npub.cash. so everyone on nostr has a free lightning address if they go with the npub free version
