especially these HID ones, right bluish cast that ruins your night vision, and flickers, as well, which becomes a lot more obvious to see on objects in constant motion, and distracting.
i miss the good old days of halogens.

oh yeah, and it's now LEDs which are even worse. and because most normies are dull, insensitive and incurious, they don't even complain about how many LEDs are flickering at your peripheral, high motion sensing vision, and distracting from what you are actually in front of.
i personally can ride a motorcycle at 60km with no street lights, lights turned off on the bike, ind even somewhat shaded forest areas on mountain roads on a full moon. most care lights point upwards too much and are too bright. and the same for street lights.
also, the street lights, the LED panels with their grids of little emitters, these cause distracting patterning of shadows, and camera obscura style lensing of shadows into little grids of repeating shapes on the ground and whatever is being lit up by it.
IMO, this is all very much not good for us, or our safety, or the function of our nervous systems. it's a constant low grade alarm from anomalous visual signals.
Yes to all that. My headlights are a bit dull and cloudy, need to get that fixed, so I'm especially annoyed these days
