This is something that concerns me: A lot of fake accounts and scammers. There should be a way to report then and efectivily neutralize them.
From the user moderation point of view, it's solved: moderation lists and feeds, both with the ability to subscribe… in theory: I would select any moderation list created by a Nostr user and moderate my content without even knowing it, with the same feeds: different feeds created by the users themselves and you select which one you want to see
This isn't new, Bluesky worked like this before having moderation, when there were only 250,000 users I selected some lists from others who also worked on their feed, my result: a global feed of 250,000 users without spam, all this without central moderation, only by the same users of the network… we all know how Bluesky goes now
On the other hand, we have Ditto
On the dev side, they have to do something with relays, Nostr is very sensitive to DDoS attacks
