To get a little more specific, I'm in Pennsylvania. While the state has its flaws (all do obviously), one thing I cannot complain about is the support for local food production and food freedom. Raw dairy is legal. Even major grocery store chains carry it here. My immediate area got about 15 yr round farmer's markets plus seasonal pop-ups. Small butcher shops scattered here and there. Hell, got a bison farm down the road from me even. The food laws here alone are why I would never leave the state unless the new state had same
