Atmospheric aerosol injections seems motivated by three incentives: (A) R&D to understand to what degree, and at what cost, governments can influence cooling of the environment, (B) as a mechanism to enhance the anti-overpopulation effect of other aerosols being emitted as a bi-product of industrial era living, and (C) as a platform for broad population exposure of experiment agents.
