Over 500 killed in Gaza by the Israeli army since Friday. Here's how Palestinians woke up on Monday morning in Khan Younis.

Moments ago, Israeli forces bombed multiple tents in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis—one of Gaza’s so-called “safe zones.”

A displaced Palestinian sheltering there with his 3-year old daughter and 1-year old son shared this video describing the horror of waking up to airstrikes.

So to put it i perspective, there are 2 .1 millions and so far israel killed more than 40K, lets say they killed only 40K that means they killed 1.9% of the population. Now lets assume Russia did the same for the USA population which is 340 millions, and 1.9% of that is 6 millions and a half, so it is ok to have 6 million civil killed as a response for the USA attacking military bases of Russia that occupied lands of the USA?

This is an ancient principle of justice called the LEX TALIONIS, the law of retaliation. "An eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, life for life" is found in the 18th century BC Code of Hammurabi as well as in the law of Moses (ca. 15th century BC).

My point is that a life for a life is justice. Approximately 1,175 Israelis were killed on October 7, 2023, so that has been FAR exceeded and Israel's response is WAY beyond justice.

I see how my use of "proportional" is confusing. What I mean is that "a life for a life", if followed, prevented disproportionate retaliation like we are witnessing from Israel.
