my son quit his job cuz he was mad at them
which is a violation of the first commandment of our household so I was mad
he sent out 300 resumes and got five phone interviews
one of them hired him on the phone without seeing him in person at double pay

That’s good. I think that’s what most parents want for their children.
I've learned that happy is insufficient
I want my kids to build a life that will create happiness in later years not just now
so there's short-term and long-term happiness and I'm talking about the long-term I guess
#Nostr makes me grateful that my young adults are compassionate. after reading some of the views on here, I realize that maybe some were never taught that ( by parents or society ) and how sad that is.
the right wing believes thatyou should follow the rules, and then if you do everything will work out best for everyone
the left is compassionate and thinks that it is okay to not follow the rules sometimes, to make mistakes and that you should be forgiven for that and even carried
the one sees a homeless man and wants to tell him to get a job
the other wants to give him a free house
neither works well and neither makes the world a better place
I’m not one to drill politics down to such simplicities. Probably cause my lifetime gave me the opportunity to see corruption on all sides.
Most don’t even vote in local elections in the #US We have a divided country & it will continue to get worse because most won’t ever choose to read the laws ( from whatever side ) & see the corruption.
Accepted long ago that humans always human. We all have our internal biases.
99% bleed for 1% greed.
Far too many have died in wars* to benefit ultra wealth. It’s broken & as long as people choose 🔴 or 🔵 the division remains.
Hence why I chose purple 🟣 long ago.
Wars* against humanity are worldwide in various ways. What one chooses to focus on makes a difference IMO.
