So many modern laptops are built like disposable cameras of old.
I think iFixIt's ratings are 100% spot on, but maybe that's the Thinkpad fanboi in me... :D
I might splash out for a Framework when my current one dies...
I like my T420. I have no reason to replace it though I do need some new parts for it this year...
I have that one and the T450 as well.
Both great but T420 much better!

I love the idea of those frameworks! I think it's an awesome concept. Bit out of my price range right now though 😅 but it should be a few year until I need a new laptop anyway so let's see how the economic situation changes between now and then 😉
I didnt run into the proprietary ram issues with those old macbooks.
Im really impressed how they run on Linux.
