It's quite interesting how all articles that I've seen around Threads talk about other alternatives to Twitter, such as Mastodon, Threads, Post, and others that I've never heard of before, yet never mention Nostr. We are truly the underdog in this fight for decentralization and censorship resistant social communication.

it's possible you'll never hear normies talk about "nostr" even though they are using an app built on top of the protocol. need the killer app for the protocol to become mainstream.

Completely agree. I think the biggest challenge is how it feels to mainstream audiences. Onboarding and all it’s jargon + different clients with different names feels like

they don’t work together.

Like anything new - improvements shall be made for sure - not a bad start though, disrupting the internet and world finance at the same time.. not to shabby I’d say.
