I believe my annoyance stems from the overwhelming amount of information and thoughts in my mind. Today, I’ve been attempting to establish a clear stance on various concurrent issues across different regions. I have an inclination to adopt a clear perspective on controversial or trending topics. I suspect this habit stems from my long-standing involvement in social media. Through numerous experiences, I’ve realized that it’s incredibly easy to be influenced by public opinion if I don’t take proactive measures before being exposed to the prevailing opinion of a particular moment. Social media has repeatedly challenged my ability to maintain a coordinated and informed stance on various matters. I believe it’s challenging because information is constantly flooding in from various sources across the globe. Unlike in the past, we can’t meticulously consume curated and organized information and knowledge. While it’s beneficial to have the ability to discern what’s important to you, it becomes overwhelming for those lacking the skills to filter information effectively.

So, I used to be concerned about a wide range of global issues. There were so many social problems that we didn’t have to be aware of when they weren’t being reported on TV or in newspapers. Now, we can easily find personal problems from people all over the world on a single social media platform. Empathetic individuals, in particular, are susceptible to being emotionally influenced by these problems from strangers. I believe that a significant portion of the issues that occur on social media platforms is a result of this excessive empathy. People often fail to recognize when to cease listening to others who are excessively complaining about trivial matters.

Let’s consider the scenario of raising a child. Sometimes, it’s necessary to disregard their demands and teach them impulse control and socialized behavior. This principle can also be applied to other interpersonal relationships. However, there are many individuals with great potential to become parents who struggle to establish proper authority as caregivers. Consequently, they often become enablers of crying children and support populism, mistaking it for democracy. If you prefer to label a household without any rules or principles as a democratic household, then that’s your choice…

If you are interested in helping homeless people, there can be many ways to help them. Maybe you wanna give some money directly to their pocket. Maybe you wanna donate money for a homeless shelter. Maybe you wanna support a politician who works for job opportunities for those homeless people. Whatever you choose, your choice is based on your values. If you have philosophy and rationale for such philosophy, you don't have to sit for approval from other people on social media. But these days, there are so many people who don't know what to choose, and they easily choose the options that could guarantee the most approval rate from the audience on social media.

I asked Apple Intelligence to rewrite the previous note, but then I forgot to replace my original writing with the revised version. I guess I really need to go to sleep.....😴
