Basically I’ve accepted “they” will never atone for their sins and that reparations would be a path to atonement; more for them than victims of their crimes. And they’d rather watch their families, churches, institutions, finances be obliterated by natural & universal law than humble themselves to the truth.
“The church was at the centre of establishing slavery and was probably one of the biggest benefactors,” he said. “No one can understand the seriousness of this crime against humanity better than the church itself and it now has a responsibility to compensate all the victims of slavery.”
