Part of why we’re building #[0] is to help the world replace phone numbers and walled garden usernames with pubkeys. Doing that requires building bridges from the old world to the new world.

SPAM has killed cell numbers - literally dead. The sooner we are calling on pubkey the better……

How long till Microsoft enables pubkey calling via Teams? Sounds crazy, but perhaps not.

I’d love a pubkey contact list of trusted inbound callers, your bank, insurance, health provider, schools. Proof of call.

they’ll only do it once it gets big enough and only after seeing examples of how it can work. they’ll need SIP protocol bridges into infrastructure and pubkey based auth and payment flows. this is exactly the stuff we’re building at #[2]

Imo for new users to enjoy nostr they need a username, NIP05, profile pic, Lightning wallet and paid relays as well as a list of people to follow.

They can get this from 6 places ie client username + NostrPlebs NIP05 + Nostr.Build pfp + WoS wallet + Paid Relay providers + Nostr.directory follow list - or they can get it all from Vida page and then connect to a client.

If I could invite a friend by email/text/telegram/discord message to vida page and have all that setup for them as a service so that they can join nostr with a useable account, it would help accelerate onboarding.
