I wonder how a structure could be worked out to pay Congress based on certain metrics like how CEO pay packages are structured.
Obviously a lot of thought would need to be put in to stop unhelpful metric manipulation and perverse incentives that are rife in government actions, but the idea is intriguing.
I also am intrigued about “kill switch” provisions that would make sitting legislators ineligible for reelection if certain red lines are crossed.
Something needs to change. Congress shouldn’t be incentivized financially to stay in office forever.
At each election there should be a "fuck em all" option for every open seat. If that option wins, the seat is open until next election and all candidates that just lost to it are barred from holding any public office ever again.
But everything will be open, there will basically be no government you say.

wow... they should each be paying that entire salary back monthly in reparations for the dumpster fire debt they racked up. they aren't even worth 1 penny.
