If you really want to trip out in deep thought for a while, meditate on the idea that all color is based on reflection. Technically, every item on earth is every color except the one it reflects, which is the one you see.

As a physics person I dispute that anything at all "reflects" light
objects simply release light after they have had their electrons excited. there is no "bouncing off"
