I grew up in a death cult. Thankfully, I got out. It had a lot of cons. One of the few pros came from their weird school. Sure they didn't teach accurate science or any sex Ed. However, one week we spent the entire week on the creature from jekyll Island. So now I'm here and I'm a bitcoiner.

I share because I see some people rooting for the sudden collapse of fiat. If that happens people will die. I know someone who knows someone who killed themself because of FTX. That is too many people too close. Fiat collapse will take many more lives. Many more will live but suffer and lose everything. Seeing people happy about a bank collapse feels a little like being in a death cult all over again.

I want to draw a line, I'm not going back there. I am NOT rooting for fiat or shitcoins to collapse, I am rooting for bitcoin to win. It is a subtle distinction, but it is important to me. If you think you see me cross that line, call me out. Fiat could go away without an ugly collapse. Crypto can go away without an ugly collapse. That is what I want. The way we make that happen is orange pilling as many as possible.

I will still make jokes. This isn't Twitter. Someone hypothetically being hurt doesn't make a joke against the rules. I will do my best to not actively cheer for the worst. I'll do my best not to smugly celebrate fiat's inevitable failures. If you seem more interested in fiat failing than bitcoin succeeding, I'll probably unfollow you.

This reflection has made it clear to me that I need to do more to orange pill new people. The more people I can convince, the less suffering there will be when fiat does go away. I'm going to change how I talk when trying to orange pill new people. I'll focus on the positives of bitcoin instead of the negatives of fiat. I'm going to keep sats with me at all times so I can gift people their first sats every chance I get. I'm focusing on the positive and I hope you will too.

You had me at death cult... where can I sign up?
