there was a stage when it was 1 at a time till they there done. Start 20 a day imo. Work on form, then pick a date to push 100's but from a cold start will be miserable.

Any time of day work particularly well?

I found it useful to aim for a set of 10 every hour that I'm awake.

Often missed an hour here and there, but spreading out the sets made each set easier while increasing my total rep count for the day. But the biggest win was it got me off my butt and raised my heart rate more often.

So, on net, probably a slightly worse approach for building strength but a bit better for overall health and an easier mental "ask" to commit to (so more likely to keep going longer term).

This is a nice idea. At least I could see myself adhering to on the hour, every hour
