Starting April, I started fasting with the intent of a 21 day fast to finish on my birthday. I failed after 48 hrs. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Got distracted with family visits & did not follow through. Then I forgot & kept messing it up.

So far, the last thing I consumed was broth on April 16. This means I have completed a successful 3 day water only fast! 😍

Had coffee at 0700, then I broke fast today at 0930 with purple sweet potato, greens, steak, eggs, green tea. Going to water fast until next Friday, so 7 days this next round. Hopefully breaking it into chunks will facilitate a successful long term fast until pizza day :).

I underestimated my body's attachment to carbohydrates. Feeling faint is adding to a lack of forward motion. Breaking fast was necessary. Stretching out the days in-between breaking fast will be helpful.

This time around, I may have failed 21 days consecutively - but will get there little by little. 🐢

In 2020 & 2021, I successfully fasted for 20-30 days at a time over several months. Experience with long term fasting made me think I could just wing it this time. I was wrong & that is ok. There's always tomorrow to try again.

How'd you feel after fasting for 30 days?

Strangely energetic. Like an adrenaline rush, body was physically tired but brain was on go mode fire.

I should say "alertness" instead. Alstrange alertness. Hyper cognitive focus.
