My friend who once used one and told me about it said a half dozen was the lowest he/she would tolerate

in this economy that could take ages

Days? Weeks?

Just use Sparrow Server on a raspi then it's running 24/7 without you needing to worry about it. You can set it to mix out on 3 or 5 or 50 remixes then, or just keep it mixing if it's a spending wallet.

exactly, yea I usually manually send to cold storage, mixing is very slow so just curious what people’s takes on how many free remixes. for bigger anon sets especially it can take forever. I cone back days later and it always appears to only work on two at s time. many tradeoffs to consider, but very happy we have this tool

4-6. In my limited experience, more than that could take a while. And it's not like 6 rounds is fast!

But with Sparrow, if you keep the destination cold wallet open, you can automix to safety so it doesn't really matter if it takes a while, unless you have a lot of value hot in the mixer.

yea that’s about my sweet spot for average size. need to try auto sweep tho

I always went with the default 3

Not enough?

🤷‍♂️ i won‘t find ya stash

3

I’m still mixing. I have never stopped.

Mine doesn't proceed beyond the first mix, am I doing something wrong?

in whirpool?

Yes

Did you wait long enough? First mix starts instantly, rounds after that you‘ll have to wait to be added to transaction randomly. Can take it’s time

Waited almost a month, do you think the present fee structure has something to do with it?

leave them spinning, uxto sets continue to gain entropy over time even if not chosen for a mix by maintaining the derivation path.

If you use sparrow wallet you can “mix to" any xpub you choose.

If you use Foundation device you can mix from sparrow to a Cold xpub created on Foundation AND keep the derivation path.

This means that when it is time to spend from cold storage you can still use the post mix spending tools of Samourai/Sparrow!

the tradeoff is they sit in a hot wallet

but generally agree more is better, larger amounts tend to take longer. curious why whirlpool can only remix 2 at once it seems

Min 5

Some I send to the ice bath after 18-24-ish mixes…. others I let ride… I have some in the north of 80. 👍

More = better
