Avoiding complexity is not being “ruled by fear”.

And if complexity can't be avoided?

This seems like it was specifically talking about drivechains or other softforks.

For that topic, it can be avoided easily.

Push complexity down the line into the future. Let people learn. Let people build. It’s not critical to functionality now. There will be a hard fork in the future, but let’s address that complexity then and not now. We have time.

Speaking generally, the evolution of Bitcoin will be determined by the dynamics of the free market, dictating the timing and nature of any forthcoming changes.

Witnessing the unfolding of events can evoke a mixture of exhilaration, exasperation, trepidation, and tension; such is the essence of emergent order. The unfolding of everything is exciting! What a time to be alive.

I’m still never running a drivechain fork on my node. 🙃

We do not have the time.

Please explain the urgency. Please tell me why your time preference is so high to introduce additional complexity to an already immensely complex system that has yet to realize it’s full potential of possible technical implementations without a consensus change?
