language debates are so tiring. Just use what you find effective for your use case. I personally hated rust for years but recently found it useful for a nostr database I built in C+lmdb. I was able to use rust lifetimes to improve transaction safety in the C bindings, and the rust interface is more ergonomic. best of both worlds.
