yeah much better to have government run health care like in Canada where if you get sick they simply offer to euthanize you / sarcasm
but the bigger issue is that actually we DO have government run health care. it is nominally private but they operate within very strict guidelines and is in no way a free market system.
a truly free market system would not require doctors to have a license where some authority from the top decides whether you can be a doctor or not and if you dare to go against vaccine mandates or statins or insulin your license will be revoked.
reality is in our system neither doctors nor patients nor even insurance companies have any say. somebody at the top decides what is and what isn't medicine and nobody can challenge that decision.
a sane person can't look at what happened during Covid and conclude we have a free market health care system.
to move to Canadian style government over-reach in health care is simply to move closer to what we had during Covid except ALL THE TIME.
of course i am over-simplifying. but glad you remember me.
on some level i actually agree with Canadian approach in that statistically vast majority of medical funds is spent to prolong the agony of the dying by extending their life by only months. if we simply euthanized people who are at the end of their rope we could use the saved money to invest into health of children that would pay dividends over many decades of their life.
if you read Brave New World written by Aldous Huxley almost 100 years ago
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_New_World
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huxley_family
it predicted that all the elderly in the future will be euthanized. Huxleys were Elites, and what his happening in Canada is their vision being put into practice. people who advocate for government health care should at least read the book to find out what they're signing up for.
