Recommendation:
If you plan to read „The Mandibles“, get it in your mother tongue.
It’s a challenging english, probably the most challenging I have read. Diminishes the „pleasure“ a bit.

I thought the writing was one of the pleasures reading it.
Regardless, it's a great book and would highly recommend as well! 🤙
It probably is.
But if you are not native english speaking, you probably miss a lot.
That’s at least my feeling
In Deutsch wäre schon nice👌🏻 …als Hörbuch noch besser 🎧
Even the german version reads terrible. I don‘t really enjoy that writing style. Have put it aside for now.
That’s interesting.
But then we have a similar feeling.
I am missing some „events“. Gets a bit boring and very complex with too many personalities.
I am almost through though and next one is from Ijoma. Looking forward 😁🧡
I read it in original. The level of the language is high and I didn't understood al lot if words. But I understood the overall meaning.I' m ok with that.
Last time I gave up a foreign book was " Le banquet annuel de la confrererie des fossoyeurs" de Mathias Enar in Ftench. Often I didn't get 20 words per page because the level of the language was extraordinary high even I've read a lot in French. So stopped at page 111 even evertyhing I understood was rather funny and a good story.
