Human beings are tribal. It'll only get worse
A couple million or billion people you've never met is a seriously weird tribe.
Its something I dont understand. I get "Idealistic tribalism" (not sure how else to put it) Like if you want to live your life in a completely separate way as somebody else, you don't necessarily need or want the other around. But judging someone based on immutable characteristics like race is weird to me.

The immigration discussion in Germany can be sort of weird.
You have the one side, that sees no problem in importing millions of people from wherever to Paderborn because "Culture doesn't matter and math is hard", and the other side is like "Deutschland for the Aryans!" and they both sound sorta bonkers and 90% of the population is politically in the middle of those two statements.
