Zap.stream is pretty cool but we have no way of letting users sign up to the platform now which is a huge barrier.
Besides creating an account, there’s really no easy way for people to acquire sats to support creators.
To me, these 2 seem the bigger barriers atm. If we can solve both and make it an effortless process, this website has a ton of potential.
For the signup flow, I don’t think it’s too difficult. We ask for a name and we’re done. Thanks Iris! (The rest of the education can happen on the back end).
For hooking up a wallet and funding it - that’s the real challenge. Where do we stand on this?
1. Install cash app
2. Send fiat to cash app
3. Buy bitcoin
4. Install WoS (the only one as far as I know that will do a swap to sats for you)
5. Scan QR code to pay
Kind of a tedious process. I doubt people are going to jump hoops to do all of this at scale. Maybe some, sure, but the vast majority are likely going to NOPE! out.
How do we shortcut 1-5 to 1 easy step?
Am I missing anything?
