Installing Kali Linux VM on there in order to use hashcat, jack the ripper, etc for some National Cyber League password cracking challenges! 💻

Did you know the current NIST guidlines recommended minimum 16 characters for user-selected passwords? Make sure your passwords are secure and consider using an open-source password manager which can help you generate even longer passwords. 🛡

I haven’t ever had much luck passing GPU through to the VM to be utilized with hashcat.

Interesting. I've always used the pre-built Kali VM with the offensive tools ready to go. You go the other route to utilize your local machines GPU power I assume? 🤔

Ah, I have only used hashcat with my NVidia GPUs. You are using the CPU only with hashcat?
