There is no solid science underpinning the dietary advice. The "diet heart hypophesis" from decades ago that led to the low fat, low animal foods and high carb advice is still an unproven "hypophesis".

There's no evidence for a meat negatively impacting health outcome. Same for ssturated fat: not even a biological mechanism could be demonstrsted by which sat. fat would lead to cardiovascular disease.

All just epidemiology and observational data that can only establish correlation but never causation.

Plant-based/vegan foods are almost all processed foods (e.g. sugar, sweets, bread, pasta, fries, fake meat and seed oils). Hence, the plant/vegan agenda is promoted and "studies" funded by the food industry and interest groups.

Animal foods are far less processed or not at all. Less money to make.
