Yes, I scanned an xpub to sign a transaction 
Wait, if you have for example a 2 of 3 multisig, you still need 3 addressmappings (xpubs?) to recover. You somehow had that on paper? Or was it like 3 printable qr codes on paper? Would like to know.
2 of 2 using 12 word passphrases.
Made it on 2 devices, I thought I deleted everything first
Did i not do something proper?
There should be a third set of keys that is redundant backup. Can only access with 2 in case you lose one.
