Awesome, best of luck with that. How did you find it? Was it through connections, or did you just set to search yourselves and found a place?

I'm always curious as to how people find these opportunities. I've been trying to do something in this area, maybe a migration service or something of the sort. Have already created a community for people looking entrepreneurial-friendly affordable villages: https://freevillages.org/

That's the vision, entrepreneurial villages, bringing life, liberty, Nostr, Bitcoin, permaculture, syntropic agriculture (plenty of trees), to small pockets around the world. :D There are so many depopulating places in the world, why not get together and do something? Either remotely or locally, or a combination of those.

thanks! i actually went travelling a couple of years ago to Latin America (I speak Spanish) auditioning for places to build a '2nd home', and fell in love with San Cristóbal de las Casas, in the mountains of Mexico. I started a little hostel/BnB/bar/community space (you can find it if you search for Casa Satoshi) and spent the last year or two building that - in fact, it's where I met my gf, as she attended one of my Bitcoin workshops (I might be the first Bitcoiner ever to get a gf from preaching the good word of Satoshi 😆 )

i love your FreeVillages site. do you have a location yet? or is it all remote at the moment? i'm actually planning on kicking off some content in the coming weeks, doing something of a 'show' around the topics you mentioned. it would be great to get you on as a guest! i think we share a lot of values, idoleology & vision 🤗

That's such an awesome project and story. Congratulations for your amazing project! Great job. I'm going to bookmark it :)

The FreeVillages project is just a community (Telegram chat) for now, a place for liberty-minded people that are looking for a place to move or invest in.

A podcast would be a great idea in the future! But also honestly there's still some things I would like to define before being more comfortable talking about this to be 100% honest, if that makes sense.

no probs at all, let's stay in touch. i have friends in Mexico with similar projects to yours. I can link you to them if/when interested 🤙🏼

So cool, thank you heaps. Yes, and the idea of the podcast is a great idea and I'm gonna bother you when I'm ready. Thanks again, great stuff!
