I appreciate your offering of your experience and this link.
But I've now read all about gout. I understand that the monosodium urate crystals built up over months to years, and it will take months to years (probably just a few months in my case) of keeping my blood urate low for them to all melt away. I downloaded and organized many lists of foods with their purine content and sorted it by purines per 100g. Besides purines, I'm aware alcohol and aspirin interfere with urate elimation so I'm avoiding those. Plus my doctor put me on allopurinol. I'm confident that I will cure my gout completely within a year, probably much sooner. And then I'll be able to have occasional meat again.
While a typical American diet eater would benefit from the lion diet, it wouldn't work for me because my kidney function isn't good enough. It would make my gout worse. I have to avoid high purine foods.
But I appreciate the intent.
